In January 2005 Tom & Claude landed in Bangkok for the first time and they literally fall in love with Thailand, as well as The Famous Jim Thompson 50 years ago that revived the production of Thai silk. The society today "The Thai Silk Company” is one of the most famous in Southeast of Asia.
During an interior decoration show in Paris the following year, Tom met Eric Booth Director Marketing of the Brand “Jim Thompson”. He told him of his desire to work with him and selling bags and accessories of Jim Thompson in his shop at Moustiers, knowing that nobody elsewhere do that, we can find them only in Asia. Eric Booth agrees and with time, will even push to customize and create new models.

Jim Thompson, (James Harrison Wilson Thompson; born March 21, 1906) was an American businessman who helped revitalize the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and 1960s. At the time of his disappearance in 1967 he was the most famous American living in Asia. Time magazine claimed that he "almost singlehanded saved Thailand’s vital silk industry from extinction”.

Since 1976, the company is a foundation, By virtue of the dictates of its charter and the abiding interests of Jim Thompson, the Foundation dedicates and commits itself to the preservation and conservation of Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

His house and art collection, entrusted to the foundation and are recorded this same year as a National Museum and are visited by thousands of people every year.
